SEO Website Designs

You might design a web site that looks fantastic but few people are going to see it if it takes a long time to load. Your designs should be optimized for the web and should not take more than 15 seconds to load. Remember, you might have a great design but very few people are going to see it if it takes a long time to load.

Color Combination:
Color is most important when you design a template for any site. The 1st think is which type of site you designing and always choose 2 or 3 color for you site I mean uniform based and always color depend for site type. When you designing a corporate site you should choose soft color not dark color.

Image Optimization:
When you convert a Psd template to Html always  optimize you image size. But mind it your image quality should be good .

Neat and Easy Navigation:
Navigation of links on your site plays a big role in determining the stickiness of your site (how long your visitor stays and explores your site). Ask yourself this, what do visitors do as soon as they open your site? They would probably read the content of the present page and then look around to find any other page that interests them.

A clean layout that uses a lot of white space enhances a site’s looks. Try to keep the focus on your content. Use fonts that will be available on all computers to prevent your site looking messed up.

Screen Resolutions:
A site that is easy-to-use always encourages visitors to stay and read your content. For site with long pages of content this is very crucial as the amount of scrolling required is reduced. Suppose your site doesn’t look good for a particular resolution it is very probable that the visitor will close the browser window feeling that the web page is not for their viewing. Designing stretch layouts that fit any screen resolution ensures that you know all your visitors see a visually appealing and professional site.

Ensure Web site scalability:
Make sure your code and design is scalable. As technology advances and configuration of computers & their monitors keep increasing and varying it is impossible to test your site in all screen sizes and platforms.

Check for broken links:
Always check for broken links within a site before uploading it to your web server. In Dreamweaver you can check for broken links by right clicking on any file in the Site Files Window and then clicking on Check links - Entire Site. If you don’t have this facility you need to upload your site and then check it using online tools likes Net Mechanic.

Validation Check:
When you complete your html then always check your page for validation.  Just copy the source code of your page and you can always follow this link http://validator.w3.org/#validate_by_input
and paste here and click the check button
